National Personal Data Protection Director, Uganda
We are very honoured to host Ms Stella Alibateese, National Personal Data Protection Director, Uganda as our Keynote Speaker. Director Alibateese will be talking about the evolution of data protection regulations across Africa with Uganda’s experience as a case in point. Her address will give us the perspective of the regulator shedding light on their challenges and expectations; and giving us a picture of successful implementation and compliance with Data Protections regulations.
Mr Elias Okwara
Head of Data Protection Consultancy, ARMC
Our second speaker is Mr Elias Okwara, Head of Data Protection Consultancy, ARMC. Elias is a Certified Information Privacy Professional for Europe (CIPP/E) and the United States (CIPP/US), and specialises in data protection and cybersecurity. He is currently an advisor and task force member at the African Union dealing with data protection and cybersecurity, and is on the Project Team for the NIST Privacy Framework. Elias will provide you with insights on how to achieve a successful data protection framework highlighting your critical success factors in a nutshell
